Driving East on Interstate 80 from the San Francisco Bay Area or driving West on I-80 from Sacramento:

  • Take Richards Blvd. Exit
  • Head West to First Street
  • Left on First Street
  • Right on A Street
  • Social Sciences Building is on the left (just before 3rd Street)

Limited short-term parking is available on city streets within walking distance of the department.  Visitor parking is also available in the North Entry Parking Structure.

Our department is located in the Social Sciences Building. The main office is room 1283. If you have any questions, please call (530) 752-0782.

We also provide a detailed map of the Social Sciences and Humanities Building to facilitate office visits.
