PI Workshop

Fridays, 11:30a to 12:30p (with a bonus round until 1:00p) in the Sociology Department Board Room

The Power and Inequalities (PI) Workshop provides an opportunity for sociology graduate students and faculty to receive comments and suggestions on their works in progress. The workshop highlights the different research interests and methods represented in the department and allows scholars to exchange ideas.

Papers for discussion are pre-distributed on the PI Workshop Smartsite. After brief, optional remarks by the author, two discussants (one graduate student and one faculty member) speak for approximately 10 minutes each. The author responds for a similar period of time, then the other participants offer comments.  All interested students and faculty are welcome.  For additional information about the workshop, please contact Drew Halfmann or Bob Faris.

Workshop papers are available online to authorized users. If you are not affiliated with UC Davis, please contact the author directly for access.  Posting of both published and unpublished papers for downloading is intended for educational purposes only and that adherence to copyright laws is assumed.
