UC Research: Career Paths of Science & Tech Professionals in the U.S.

Thank you for taking time to complete this survey. It is being conducted by researchers at the University of California, Davis, and is part of a large study about the career paths of science and technology professionals in the United States.

Your response is very important. By sharing your experience you will advance research about how professional achievements vary by gender, ethnicity/race and immigrant status. For example, among people born abroad, we want to learn if the type of visa a person has when they arrive to the United States affects their earnings.

In order to compare success across groups we must hear from diverse professionals, both U.S.-born and immigrant. That’s why we’re asking for your participation. We hope our results will inform employment-based visa policy.

This research was approved by UC Davis’ Institutional Review Board. Contact Principal Investigator Robin Savinar with questions, rlsavinar@ucdavis.edu.

Your answers will be completely anonymous and will be combined with other respondents’ answers. All data will be studied in aggregate only.

The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete.

To be eligible you must be at least 18 years of age, and currently work in the United States.

Thank you for your valuable time!
