Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society (AKD)
The UC Davis Sociology Department hosts the Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Sociology Honor Society.

Eligibility
- Must be officially declared Sociology major
- have a cumulative UC GPA of 3.0 and rank in the top 35% of your class (about 3.2 or 3.3)
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA in Sociology courses taken here at UCD
- have completed at least four regular letter graded sociology courses
- be of junior, senior, or graduate standing
- completed 46A or 46B or 103 or 106*

Organizational Studies and Social Services Emphasis students must have completed Sociology 100 (Classical & Modern Sources of Sociological Theory) before applying.*

How to Apply for Membership
- Fill out the form entitled “Application for Membership in AKD.”
- Attach a $40 check payable to "UC Regents"
- Give both items to Janet Gutierrez, Undergraduate Program Coordinator.
Application forms are available on various bulletin boards around the department and from the advising office.
