John Hall chosen as ASA Theory Section Chair-Elect
Research Professor John Hall has been chosen as the chair-elect of the American Sociological Association’s Theory Section. His term as chair-elect runs from August 2016 to August 2017, at which time he will serve for one year as the chair of the section.
The Theory Section is one of the largest of ASA’s sections, with over 750 dues-paying members. Information about its activities is available at: http://www.asatheory.org. It organizes a number of panels at the ASA’s annual meetings, including the prestigious Coser Lecture for theoretical agenda-setting in sociology, and sponsors the annual Junior Theorists Symposium.
