Christine Pan Collaborates on Book Translation

Christine Pan collaborated with other sociologists from Taiwan to translate a textbook that delivers a unique approach to introducing sociology -- an approach that not only addresses foundational sociological work but also incorporates contemporary sociological research and theory. The textbook -- published in 2024 but available for pre-order since November 2023 -- presents systematic analyses of social phenomena, ensuring that students become equipped with the ability to think like a sociologist, ask good sociological questions, and understand complex social phenomenon. The translation team hopes to provide another resource for the sociology community in Taiwan and help deepen collective understanding of the discipline.
