Gillian is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Davis. Currently, Gillian is working on a dissertation project that uses data gleaned from qualitative interviews to analyze the experiences of Black vegan or plant-based adults and their motivations for choosing this lifestyle.
