Christie Fancher is a third year sociology PhD student at University of California Davis. Her research focuses on how people with complex and contested chronic illnesses make sense of their conditions and navigate the US healthcare system. She holds a master's in sociology from UC Davis, a master's in English with a focus in composition and rhetoric from University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, and a bachelor's degree from Vassar College.
