Research Assistantships

Undergraduate students can accelerate their academic careers by enlisting to assist faculty members in their research activities.

Special Study / Research Assistantship (199)

Sociology faculty members play a pivotal role in maximizing your undergraduate educational experiences. They are often engaged in ongoing research projects, on which undergraduates can work as volunteer research assistants and for which they can often receive academic credit (and, on occasion, financial compensation). Occasionally, an advanced graduate student may advertise an opening for this opportunity. Explore the areas of expertise and research interests of our faculty members. Meet with faculty members of interest in person, either during office hours or by appointment to discuss your research or special study interests.
