Christine (Shiuan) Pan is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Sociology with a Designated Emphasis in Computational Social Science. Her research interests include international migration, identity formation, family and marital dynamics, gender relations, fertility, and well-being. Her dissertation explore factors that produce and sustain low fertility. She has been trained in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including in-depth interviewing, data manipulation, latent class analysis, and regression analysis. Christine also has over a decade of teaching experience and extensive hands-on research experience in cross-national settings. Her work has been published in the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies. As a cross-cultural individual and Adult Third Culture Kid (ATCK), Christine is continuously looking for opportunities to learn from others, share her perspective, bring unique insight to the table, and bridge different analytical approaches.
